August 1: The last day that you can register to vote or change your party affiliation for the Aug. 30th Elections.
August 20 – 27: Early Voting period
August 30: Primary Election
Note: In races where there are candidates of only one party, you vote in the primary will determine the winner of the Nov. 8th elections. Primary elections are important!
All registered voters, regardless of party, will have the opportunity to vote on one of the five amendments that are proposed for 2016. It is #4: Solar devices or renewable energy source devices; exemption from certain taxation and assessment.
The remaining 4 amendments will be on the November 8th ballot for all registered voters regardless of party:
- Number 1 Rights of Electricity Consumers Regarding Solar Energy Choice
- Number 2 Use of Marijuana for Debilitating Medical Conditions
- Number 3 Tax Exemption for totally and permanently disabled first responders
- Number 5 Homestead tax exemption for certain senior, low-income, long-term residents; determination of just value.
